Who is the Cooperative Home for?
The Cooperative Home is a program that combines “class” and coaching so that you can increase your knowledge and understanding AND get professional (and peer) support to refine things as you put them into practice in your family.

This program is designed for you if:
  • you have children age 2-16
  • your intention is to parent consciously with love (and not with coercion, yelling, nagging, and force)
  • you want to get things done and keep things moving in a way that works for you and your children
  • you want information and personal guidance in making changes in your cooperation-fostering abilities
  • you have had inconsistent "success" and end up reverting to strategies that you don't want to use
Check out the common struggles described below that the Cooperative Home program addresses.

Sound Like Your House?
“I’m struggling to understand how to communicate clearer with my son when he does something I ask him not to do (and explain why). He says ‘ok’ and then just does it again. It can be so frustrating, especially because I feel like I’m taking the time to walk through it with him instead of giving him the old ‘because I said so.'”
“I have to ask my girls a billion times to do most things, especially things like homework, helping with chores, tidying their rooms, and worst of all getting ready in time for school and going to bed on time…which basically NEVER happens!”
“I feel like I am not saying things in the correct way so my son doesn’t ‘listen’ or takes forever to comply.”
“My daughter often drags almost everything out. If I am tired, stressed out, sleep deprived, or pressed for time, I catch myself repeating things, threatening to take away her stuff or privileges, or even yelling.”
A transformational coaching program
  •  Stop relying on nagging, yelling, bribes that make parenting harder in the long-run
  •  Inspire cooperation in effective ways that still honor your children's autonomy
  •  Create harmonious, healthy, strong relationships with your kiddos that will last as they grow up

What’s Included
The Cooperative Home includes eight weeks of lessons and coaching support. Regardless of your location on the globe, you can access resources at your convenience, work through materials at your own pace (you can access materials indefinitely), and seek out support whenever you need it. Specifically, your registration includes these features:
  Community
For the entire length of the program, parents (and coach Shonnie) connect via a closed Facebook group. You have a safe, supportive space where you and other parents can interact instead of trying to figure everything out on your own.
  Weekly Lessons
Each week you’ll receive lessons via video, audio, and printable materials so you can learn and then immediately begin incorporating your learning into family life. This helps you stay inspired and in productive, effective action without overwhelming you.
  Personal coaching
You get ongoing personal coaching from Shonnie. Using the private Facebook group, you can post questions and comments and get personalized support. This ensures that you have a way to directly address your specific concerns or issues.
Topics We’ll Cover
The Cooperative Home includes weekly content via video, audio, and printable materials. You’ll be guided through exercises and activities to implement what you’ve learned so you can see positive changes soon after starting the program. A week-by-week overview of the core curriculum is here, or simply check below for a sampling of the topics we’ll address.
  • How to shift your perspective AND keep your cool and why these are critical to cooperation.
  • What to use instead of “consequences” to get your child on board with your agenda.
  • Enlisting your partner in conscious parenting so the whole family can be on the same page.
  • Healing your relationship when you’ve “messed up,” so that you and your children can actually grow closer.
  • Using humor, play, and lightness to make daily routines easier for everyone.
  • Discovering the relationship between stress, “stubbornness,” and reactivity (on our part and our children’s).
  • Fostering cooperation in ways that still honor your child’s autonomy.
As you can see, the Cooperative Home covers a lot of ground and is truly geared toward transforming everyday family life for you and your children. Space is limited, so sign up today. Working with Shonnie
“Before working with Shonnie, I just tried harder. I thought if I held on tight enough, did the right things, that I could white knuckle my way into making it happen for our family. If I just did a little bit more it would all calm down. Now I’m more tuned into my kids. Shonnie’s work allowed me to reconnect with my son. Instead of getting caught in a cycle of anger and frustration with him, I was able to approach him differently. He started responding differently.”

~ Melanie T., mom of two in Georgia
“Shonnie, you are a parenting coach genius. I’m deeply thankful for you.

I wanted to share that this morning I combined some ideas from the video on why being on time is hard for children, along with suggestions you gave me and had a TOTALLY successful experience with my son this morning (that was headed in a very bad direction).”

~ Leah S. mom of two in North Carolina

“I first stumbled upon Shonnie by finding her Huffington Post article on ways we could be shaming our children. It was eye opening for me. I immediately followed the links to her website and Facebook group. She interacts with you and lets you know you’re not alone and reaches out to you with solid advice. I’m in awe of her and how devoted she is to all us mamas all over the world. Her work is helping to change and shape our world, for us and our children. I cannot recommend her enough.”

~ Ashley W., mom of one in North Carolina
